
Class Codes for Show Entries
Cats are assigned to different classes according to their titles. Below is a summary of the classification system.
Pedigree Kitten Classes
Pedigreed kitten classes are conducted by breed and colour, and are open to entire or desexed kittens over 12 weeks and under 9 months of age on the day of the show.
All kittens must be individually registered to be eligible for entry in the F7/M7 and F9/M9 classes.
Age is taken from the date of birth to the date of the show entered.
The following Pedigreed Kitten classes apply:

F3 / M3 – Female / Male Kittens 12 weeks and under 3 calendar months

F5 / M5 – Female / Male Kittens 3 calendar months and under 5 calendar months

F7 / M7 – Female / Male Kittens 5 calendar months and under 7 calendar months
-
F9 / M9 – Female / Male Kittens 7 calendar months and under 9 calendar months
In the event of the death of a kitten between the close of entries and the day of the show, a veterinary certificate stating the cause of death must be provided to the Veterinary Surgeon officiating on the day of the show.
Entire Classes
Pedigreed Entire (Open) Classes
The following classes are open to entire exhibits that have not attained any championship title:

Championship Classes (Entire Cats)
Championship classes are open to entire cats that have been formally granted the relevant title.
The following Championship classes apply:

FCH / MCH – Female / Male Champion
(Granted after four (4) Challenge Certificates in Open classes under at least three (3) different judges) -
FGC / MGC – Female / Male Grand Champion
(Granted after four (4) Challenge Certificates in Champion class under at least three (3) different judges) -
Bronze FGC / Bronze MGC – Bronze Grand Champion

Silver FGC / Silver MGC – Silver Grand Champion

Gold FGC / Gold MGC – Gold Grand Champion
Cats granted the title of Gold Grand Champion may be eligible for Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Diamond levels upon winning six (6) Challenge Certificates.
Desexed Classes
Pedigreed Desexed (Open) Classes
The following classes are open to desexed exhibits over 9 months of age that have not attained any premiership title:

Premiership Classes (Desexed Cats)
Premiership classes are open to desexed cats that have been formally granted the relevant title.
The following Premiership classes apply:

FPR / MPR – Female / Male Premier
(Granted after four (4) Award of Merit Certificates in Open Desexed classes under at least three (3) different judges) -
FGPR / MGPR – Female / Male Grand Premier
(Granted after four (4) Award of Merit Certificates in Premier class) -
Bronze FGPR / Bronze MGPR

Silver FGPR / Silver MGPR

Gold FGPR / Gold MGPR
Desexed cats granted the title of Gold Grand Premier may be eligible for Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Diamond levels upon winning six (6) Award of Merit Certificates.
Companion Cat Classes
All Companion Cat exhibits must be desexed.
Companion Cats are judged separately from Pedigreed exhibits and are not eligible for Challenge or Award of Merit Certificates.
The following Companion Cat classes apply:
Desexed exhibits under 9 months of age on the day of the show:

CK – Companion Kitten
Companion Cats are desexed exhibits nine (9) months and over on the day of the show and are entered in the Companion Cat class according to coat length and sex:

CMCL / CFCL – Companion Male / Female Cat – Longhair

CMCS / CFCS – Companion Male / Female Cat – Shorthair
Companion Cat Eligibility for Awards
Only Companion Cats entered in the Companion Cat class (nine (9) months and over) are eligible to be awarded Award of Excellence Certificates (AoE).
Companion Kittens are not eligible for Award of Excellence Certificates.
Companion Cat Premiership (Award of Excellence)
Companion Cats may be granted the following titles through the award of Award of Excellence Certificates:

Premier Companion Cat – after four (4) Award of Excellence Certificates under at least three (3) different judges

Grand Premier Companion Cat – after four (4) Award of Excellence Certificates
Companion Cats granted the title of Grand Premier may be eligible for Bronze, Silver, Gold, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Diamond Award of Excellence levels.
CCCA Award

All titled entries (Champions and Premiers) are automatically entered into CCCA Award classes.
